Hossein Valamanesh

Hossein Valamanesh was born in Iran and emigrated to Australia in 1973. He graduated from the School of Fine Art Painting Tehran in 1970 and graduated from the SA school of art in 1977.

Hossein has exhibited in Australia, Europe, Japan, UAE and UK. His works are included in most major Australian public art collections.

A major survey of his work was held at the Art Gallery of South Australia in 2001 and a survey of his more recent work was held at Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, 2002. In 2011 Wakefield Press published Hossein Valamanesh, Out of Nothingness, a monograph of his work.

Hossein lives and works in Adelaide, South Australia. He is represented by Greenaway Art Gallery Adelaide, Grey Noise Dubai and Karen Woodbury Melbourne.
